In about 30 minutes my radio show, THE EXHAUSTED PARENT NETWORK, will air. The topic is “Traveling with the Kids,” and boy will it bring back so many memories.
My husband-at-the-time hated traveling. At least that is the lie he told me. I wanted to let my kids experience all there was to experience but let me tell you..traveling with the “Two-Man Swarm” was no walk in the park and I did it on my own. After a while i stopped asking him if he wanted to go with us. I remember asking him if he wanted to take the kids to Club Med and he said, “I hate the tropics! I hate the humidity. You really want me to go? I’ll just be sitting at the bar. Do you want that?”

So I went to Club Med in the Bahamas with the kids. I took them on a cruise with my family to the Caribbean. I took the kids to Hawaii and I took the kids across the United States…all by myself.
All I can hope is that when they decide to travel with the kids they look for the rebirth of wonder.
Looking at the world through the eyes of your kids is wonderful…with our without the other spouse.
